5 I’ve been with Dreamhost for 2 years. Uptime and speed has been excellent, my page always loads instantly, and they don’t overload their servers. The staff is very friendly, and the packages have tons of features. They have good documentation on their web site, I love their web panel, it’s got everything in a single place, it’s easy to use, and well organize. I love these features: Jabber accounts, SVN, SSH, unlimited Unix users, FastCGI. Perfect for developers. They’re not expensive also.

4.9 these guys have been excellent with my sites over the years. the customer service is very fast, friendly and understanding. Since late 2007 I have started experiencing more and more downtime related to server issues but overall I have not found a better host, especially for the price.

2.3 Had a site with them for almost 2 years. During that time, they told me my site was slowing down the entire server due to too many hits per second, so they placed a throttle on my account immediately. Since then, load times for my site have been painfully slow, that it was crippling my ability to fully host a site with rich content. Images would not load at all, and forget about hosting audio or video for podcasts. They suggested I purchase a private hosting plan from them at $1 per MB EXTRA a month. That means for 1 GB of space they would charge me $1,000.00 a month in addition to what I already pay. I moved onto ipower.com and have had no problems since the move. For a low traffic site, Dreamhost may be a bargain, but look elsewhere if you need to host more than a few pages with little content.

4.3 Been with Dreamhost for 2 years now. Great value for money. Helpful support. Quirky funny newsletter ezine. They have been very transparent about their occasional problems and that seems rare in the web hosting industry. Unlimited domains is great for my low/medium traffic client’s websites.

3.5 Now this is a host with a difference! Even their newsletters are like nothing you will have received before. The control panel isn’t as easy to use as some others, but you can get good value deal from them.

5 I’ve used dreamhost for almost 2 years, I honestly think I’ve only had one of my sites go down once during that time.
I especially like the one-click installs, every time Wordpress comes out with an upgrade you push one button and it’s done.

5 Best service I ever used. I have used it for a few years now, and they have responded to all my support tickets very fast, almost instant. I love the One Click Install feature, it makes life a lot easier, so I don’t have to do as much manual work. Also, Dreamhost’s servers are envirnoment friendly; They’ve gone green. Would I ever think about switching? No, unless my website becomes to big for Dreamhost to handle.

4.3 I host a non-profit’s web site at DreamHost, and the value is great (free hosting for non-profits!), support has been quick and very helpful. However, performance is quite slow at times. And this is for a site with very little traffic. I’d hate to think what it’d be for a popular site.
I consider DreamHost a great choice for small non-profits, but I wouldn’t want to host my high-traffic sites there…
